On 14 July 2006, my sister and I celebrated the recent publication of our book Hypothyroidism in Childhood and Adulthood A personal perspective and scientific standpoint with staff at the Department of Adult and Continuing Education (DACE), University of Wales Swansea (www.swan.ac.uk/dace). Having participated in the Patchwork project at DACE (a project supporting professional development and empowerment), we were both grateful to the staff involved for their encouragement with regards to our book proposal.
Since we are identical twin sisters, on 3 July 2006, we were invited to give a short talk about our book Hypothyroidism in Childhood and Adulthood A personal perspective and scientific standpoint at the World Twin Day event held at Millennium Garden, St. Thomas’ Hospital, London.
